My fields of expertise are Translation and Interpreting. Translation focuses on converting texts from one of my work languages into Spanish or vice versa. It is a process in which, through prior documentation and study, I learn as much as possible about the subject to be translated in order to be able to work as efficiently and with the highest possible quality. I do not use automatic translation tools or AI, although I do use some digital tools and programmes that speed up the process. At the moment, I am not authorised to translate official state documents (transcripts, official medical records), as I have NOT obtained the necessary accreditation to become a sworn translator.
I also offer transcription services, such as converting a recorded audio file or conversation into a written document, either translating it in the process or not. Currently, this is my main source of work and I focus on working with clinical trials and medical interviews.
I also provide interpreting services for conferences and events, either in situ or online via Zoom or other digital platforms. Interpreting can be performed either consecutively (the speaker speaks first and then the interpreter intervenes to summarise what has been said), simultaneously (with technical equipment, the interpreter translates at the same time as the person gives their speech) or liaison (the interpreter translates a conversation between 2 or more people who do not speak the same languages, stopping at each intervention, such as a press conference or a business meeting). In my case, I have experience in all 3 modalities and I can provide any of them.
I work both directly, from another language into Spanish, and conversely, from Spanish into that other language, in all these modalities and in all my work languages.
